I was a bit concerned when I started this project, but it's turned out really well so far.
In early 2008, I started working on a new website for the VA hospital system. I found thousands more veterans who were suffering for their medical conditions and were receiving the care they needed. I also saw a huge increase in the volume of patients being seen every evening on average. That was a big step.

Once we established a good relationship with VA health care providers at various hospitals, their response was also better and we gained a greater number of volunteers and donors. That's where I came in. worked on helping the VA establish a good contract with H&R Block. I met state Pharmacist Directors and made a good effort to work with them. As a result of the relationship I made with state management agencies, I was able to set up a good relationship with every state benefits manager. I started to know their employees inside and out it allowed the VA to get better deals from those employers. I have met with more employers than I can mention here and they're all very happy with how their medical information is used. As for all the vendors themselves, they have been remarkably responsive and willing to collaborate on all our requirements.
In November of 2008 we moved the VA Health Care Access Portal to www.vas.va.gov. The move was necessary because a lot of the new site was designed on the back-end and most of system was based on older systems that didn't work well on the modern web and could not be maintained. At the time VA had a very bad reputation when it came to the security of our medical information.
